Rockfish Valley Trail 4/17/10

Spent a couple of hours on the Rockfish Valley Trail this morning - sunny, but very windy, and I think that many of the small birds were hunkered down. I did see 18 species:

Rock Pigeon
Mourning Dove
Downy Woodpecker
Eastern Phoebe
Eastern Kingbird - FOY
Blue Jay - several small flocks
American Crow
Tree Swallow
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Tufted Titmouse
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Eastern Bluebird
Northern Mockingbird
Brown Thrasher
Chipping Sparrow
Red-winged Blackbird - isolated males and a small flock of females
Eastern Meadowlark
American Goldfinch - small flocks
