Rockfish Valley Trail 5/19/10

Heavy overcast yesterday, but I was driving by the RV Trail around 3:30 in the afternoon, so I stopped off for a short hike. Saw a large flock of Cedar Waxwings, several Common Grackles and Starlings, RW Blackbirds, Bluebirds, Song and Chipping Sparrows, Red-eyed Vireo, Indigo Buntings, American Goldfinches, Barn and Tree Swallows, Northern Mockingbirds, and I heard a Kingfisher, a Carolina Wren, and a Meadowlark. As I was gone for a week the first part of May, I don't know if the trail had any influx of migrating warblers, and many of them may have already left the general area by now.
