Blue Ridge Parkway 6/8/10

I went up on the Blue Ridge Parkway this morning, and the only interesting birds that I saw were American Redstarts, a Hooded Warbler, and a Red-tailed Hawk, plus some Goldfinches, Indigo Buntings, Crows, Turkey Vultures, Towhees, and Catbirds. However, when I was walking around at Hickory Springs Overlook, I did get a close visitor - the BRP ranger at Humpback Rocks Visitor Center estimated from the photo that it weighed about 400 pounds.
