It was supposed to be sunny this morning, changing to cloudy by the afternoon, but there was light to moderate cloud cover by the time I started my hike at 8:30 a.m. Temperatures were in the low 30s, so I was thankful that there wasn't much of a wind.
I saw 16 Mallards and 1 Wood Duck on the Hidden Creek pond - these were probably the same Mallards that I saw yesterday on the pond at Rodes Farm. Also saw the Great Blue Heron with a leucistic wing patch at Rodes Farm pond - surely the same one that I saw there on November 2, 2010. After two hours I had 22 species, and decided to head back to a warm house.
