Sandwiched between yesterday's strong afternoon thuderstorm and the thunderstorms forecasted for this afternoon and tonight, I ventured out under dark clouds to see what might be here in Stoney Creek. There were a number of usual bird species, and a small flock of my FOS Indigo Buntings near the Allen Creek Nature Preserve. A pair of American Goldfinches posed for their portraits to be taken. Lake Monocan served up a couple of sea monsters three to four feet long.
