My Canon 50D camera body has 99,400 photos on it, and with a 100,000 mean-time-between-failures of this camera body, I ordered a new Canon 7D camera body that has some additional tools to help with my wildlife photography. While waiting around all day (8th) for the UPS truck to arrive, I heard some crows making a racket outside, and grabbed my camera - they were going after a pair of Red-tailed Hawks - an adult and a juvenile.

Finally, late afternoon the UPS truck showed up, I unpacked the new camera body, put my 400mm lens on it, and went out to try my luck in the remaining sunlight - reading the camera manual to figure out how to best use the 7D would have to wait until dark.

After reading some of the manual, I went out on the 9th, and then finished reading the manual that evening and out again on the 10th. It will take me at least 1000 shots before I am comfortable with the new features, but at least most of the camera works like my 50D.
