Rockfish Valley Trail 9/3/13

The "cold" front that was supposed to pass through the area last night did not do very much to lower the temperature or humidity, or to move migrating birds to our area. Once again, the trail was fairly quiet. I think that I encountered more spider webs than birds!

I ended up with 23 species, and added three more species (Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Orchard Oriole, Least Flycatcher) to the cumulative September 2013 bird list, bringing this list to 44 species. We still have a long way to go to match last year's monthly total of 108 species.
