It was chilly and breezy when I arrived at the trail at 9:00 this morning, but the sun was shining and it soon started to warm up. There wasn't a lot of avian activity until the winds calmed down around 9:30, and then the winds picked up again shortly after 10:00, and I left a little before 10:30 having logged 21 species for the morning.
Most of the activity was in the north end of the bog area, and in Yellow Bird Thicket, where I saw my first of season Fox Sparrow. The other highlight was a very cooperative Northern Mockingbird.
