Rockfish Valley Trail 12/3/13

I arrived at the trail mid-morning, and although I only logged 23 species, the trail was quite "birdy." American Robins are common here in central Virginia, but are seen on the trail on infreqently. This morning, there was a large flock of them eating berries from trees in the bog area. Other highlights included a Cooper's Hawk and a very boldy colored Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.

I also found a good number of Robins drinking and bathing in the Rockfish River.
