It was already 85 degrees and quite muggy when I arrived at the trail at 9:30 this morning. Most of the birds were hunkered down in the shade of dense vegetation, and when I left a little more than one hour later, it was already 90 degrees. I was able to log 20 common summer avian species.
Field Sparrow
Field Sparrow
Field Sparrows
Indigo Bunting
Orchard Oriole
Eastern Bluebird
Red-winged Blackbird
Gray Catbird
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Rabbit
I found an interesting feather on the trail, but cannot identify the species.
