I went to the trail for an early afternoon hike, and ended up with 26 avian species there. Some of the best birds were Green Heron, Orchard Oriole, Red-eyed and White-eyed Vireos, Indigo Bunting, and Blue Grosbeak. Blue Grosbeaks usually nest along Reids Creeek, and it was good to see one there today. I saw and heard only one warbler species there this afternoon: Common Yellowthroat.
