Rockfish Valley, VA, 11/9/15

It was cold, dark, and gloomy this morning. I had an afternoon appointment in Charlottesville, so I did a quick check of Lake Monocan here in Stoney Creek (Wintergreen). I saw about 15 avian species there. A Pied-billed Grebe had been there for the past week, and was joined this morning by three Horned Grebes.
