Old Trail; Crozet, VA 2/7/17

With temperatures in the mid-60s and a slight wind, it was a balmy day for February. I hiked here in Old Trail, back to reality from my species-rich trip to Arizona last week. I saw 20 species this morning. Highlight was a close encounter with a male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
