I figured that the Blue Ridge Parkway would be crowded on an October Sunday, so I hiked here at Old Trail. The Lindy Bain trail is now a complete loop once again, but some of this trail has been re-routed away from wooded areas because of the new home construction. I hiked the complete loop, and then some, and did some birding on parts of the trail where I had not been for a couple of months. I ended the hike after 4 miles with 27 avian species, including 3 Common Yellowthroats and one Black-throated Green Warbler.
