I got an early start, and went first to Swans Cove Pool and Little Toms Cove. I only saw a few avian species there.

I decided to hike some of the trails, and then try again at Swans Cove Pool and Little Toms Cove later in the day. The first trail I hiked was the Lighthouse Trail where I saw a few woodland species.

Golden-crowned Kinglet
Yellow-rumped Warbler
I parked at the Woodland Trail parking lot, and it looked like a long hike, but I could take the Black Duck Trail all the way to Wildlife Loop that wasn't open to vehicles until late afternoon. Along the trail, I saw several more avian species.

By the time I made it to the Wildlife Loop, I was already worn out, but luckily, there were some good birds right where the trail met the loop. I decided to wait until 3 p.m. before going around the loop.
