I only had a partial day for birding, so I first went to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It wasn't as "birdy" as the past few days, but I did see/hear Cerulean Warblers in several locations along the first 14 miles. I also saw a few American Redstarts, one female Black-throated Blue Warbler, and heard a few Hooded Warblers.

I exited the parkway at Reid's Gap (mm. 14) and drove down to the Rockfish Valley Trail to see if the Yellow-breasted Chats had returned this summer. I didn't see them or any other warblers there, but saw a few more species for the morning, including a quick look at my third vireo species of the day: White-eyed.
