Old Trail

We had quite a bit of rain starting yesterday afternoon and going through the early morning hours, but it was mostly sunny when I started my hike here in Old Trail. However, even though it was 45 degrees, it was very windy, and the wind chill was fairly cold. I ended up with 23 avian species in a couple of hours.

We've had anywhere from a few to as many as 50 Chipping Sparrows wintering here in Old Trail in previous years. I saw one today, but wasn't able to get a really good photo of it.
