I hiked a bit longer this morning here in Old Trail than I did yesterday, when I saw 32 avian species, and ended up with 34 avian species today. I missed 7 of the species I saw here yesterday, giving me a two day list of 41 avian species.
Red-shouldered Hawk
Ring-necked Ducks
Great Blue Heron
I saw a couple of unusual House Finches. One of them had very orangish coloring - most likely dietary induced. The other unsual House Finch had a red back in additon to its red facial markings and rump.

I saw a Red-breasted Nuthatch. I last saw this species here in Old Trail on January 28 in the same area, and it is most likely the same bird.

I saw one Golden-crowned Kinglet, and Ruby-crowned Kinglets in two different locations. Both of the Ruby-crowned Kinglets were displaying their crown colors.
