I haven't been out birding for almost two weeks after hurting my leg on a birding trip to Arizona. I didn't want to push it too much today, so I did a short birding outing on Route 610 between mm. 2 and mm. 4 of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I saw three warbler species and heard two others (Pine and Ovenbird). I had a Cerulean Warbler, and later a Hooded Warbler, each land only a few feet in front of me, but these birds flew before I could get in-focus shots of them, and had to settle for more distant photos.

I met up with Tink Moyer at Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro. It was really quiet there. We only saw a dozen avian species, and not a single warbler.

We decided to go up onto Route 610 and the parkway, and it was better up there. The morning sunshine soon turned to gray skies with complete cloud cover. We ended up with six warbler species, and saw all but a Worm-eating Warbler that was heard only.
