August 29; Old Trail

We had heavy rain overnight, and it was hot a muggy this morning. I hiked a bit here in Old Trail, but finding birds wasn't easy.

I met up with Tink Moyer at the old tower on Route 610. This road was not "birdy," although I did hear a Hooded Warbler. The parkway was quiet as well, but I got quick looks at three warbler species.

August 31; Old Trail

I birded for about an hour this morning, and only logged 11 avian species, and a total of about 20 birds. Where are the birds? The remnants of Hurricane Ida are supposed to move through here tonight, tomorrow, and into Thursday morning. I'm hoping that after these storms move out of the NE US, migrating species will be on the move.
