It was mostly cloudy this morning, but at least the sptting drizzle had just stopped when I arrived at Lickinghole Creek and Basin. There weren't many birds to see. As I turned the corner to head towards the basin, a few small birds were flitting about. Two of them were Magnolia Warblers, and one was a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. When I started processing photos, I saw that I had also captured a Cape May Warbler.

I continued all the to the dam, and only saw a few more species.

I then hiked a bit on the adjacent Crozet Connector Trail, and added another Cape May Warbler foraging with another Ruby-crowned Kinglet. I ended the hike with 21 avian species.
